Previously, I was a member of the R&D team at Funnelback Enterprise Search. Before that, I was a PhD student at The Australian National University, supervised by David Hawking, Ramesh Sankaranarayana and Nick Craswell.
My PhD thesis was titled “Ideal Spam Nullification: Understanding the impact of web spam”, and you can download the whole thesis here.
My research interests in information retrieval include effective evaluation, user studies, web spam and a variety of other topics. Outside information retrieval, I am also interested in recommender systems, effective software design and testing, and computer security.
